Community spirit

TED Democracy connects educational and grassroots communities, sparking conversations that shift the narrative on global democracy and promote pro-democracy collaboration. The event needed an identity that would engage its diverse audience of thinkers and practitioners, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to changing formats and line-ups.

Deconstructing democracy

At the heart of the creative approach was one guiding question: how does democracy develop? We recognised that it begins with a single idea, which is built upon through collaboration. The result is a tapestry of perspectives and solutions that couldn’t be imagined alone.

Our common future

Drawing inspiration from the visual language of democracy, we curated a collection of historic ballot imagery. This imagery was then reimagined and intertwined, creating a dynamic, reconfigurable design that echoes TED's commitment to multifaceted thinking and collaboration.
